However, before I continue, I want you all to know that both the teaching and farming professions are the best and needed because one can’t do without the other, but for the sake of education, this article will be supporting the teachers.
So for those supporting the teachers, don’t think the farmers are of no value, rather see it as an educative arena to know more about the teaching profession and how good it can benefit the society.

Debate Points on Teachers Are Better Than Farmers
1. Teachers Have Vast Knowledge
You all will believe with me that teachers are the centre of knowledge, and with their wide knowledge in many fields of profession, they can actually carry it out perfectly.
A teacher builds other professions or teaches people to become better in various professions, which includes teaching farmers as well, so it’s fair to say that a teacher can also do well in the farming profession.
So without a farmer, a teacher can still farm using the knowledge, secure food and stay alive. But without the knowledge of teachers, how can a farmer do well or be more productive in food preservation?
Teachers are the key to major success most big farmers have achieved, which proves my first point on why teachers are better than Farmers.
2. Teachers Can Do Well In The Farming Profession
Just like I said before, give a teacher a spot in the farming profession, with the knowledge they have in agriculture which is taught in schools by teachers, a teacher can perfectly do well and also feed well through agriculture.
Many teachers are farmers, and you all can believe with me that 60% of teachers also have farmlands they work on, but farmers can’t be teachers because their knowledge is limited to the farming section, which makes teachers better than Farmers.
3. More Demand in the Teaching Profession
Another vital point to why a teacher is better than a farmer is the demand in the profession, you all will agree with me that teachers are always in higher demand than Farmers because almost everybody can farm, but not all can teach.
The world we are in today needs more teachers to build children and offer more knowledge to younger generations who are talented to do bigger things, which makes the teachers more demanding.
4. Teaching Has Less Stress and Fun
For someone who doesn’t want the stress of tilling the ground or hitting the ground hard to get ready for planting, will surely enjoy the teaching profession over farming.
Teaching is also fun because you have your students to talk to, communicate and have talks with them that’s even off your teaching curriculum. However, the farmer’s world is just for him and his working tools, so the stress attached is not something everyone can do.
5. Teachers Help Build the Nation
Teachers are nation builders through their vast knowledge impartation into young students who will turn out to be great people in the future.
The great scientists and engineers we all see around, are the products of teachers’ hard work, and this alone proves the teachers to be better than Farmers.
6. Professional Teacher Earn More
I don’t want to say teachers earn more than Farmers because many will say teachers are not paid well. Yes it’s true that the teaching profession is the most underrated when it comes to salary.
However, a highly professional teacher who knows what he or she does, the knowledge or degrees acquired, earns far better than other professions, which includes the farming profession as well.
What a professional teacher earns in a month, might take a farmer a year of hard labour to earn that amount, which in this case the teacher or teaching profession is now far better than farming.
7. Teaching Has Improved Technology
With education given by the teachers, the technology we use today has advanced and worked better. Every student does more in perfecting technologies, and those knowledge are gotten from teachers.
You will agree with me that if we don’t have teachers, then there won’t be any technology, not to talk of its advancement, which is seen as another vital importance of teachers, and also proves my point that Teachers Are Better Than Farmers.
8. Lesser Challenges for the Teachers
As a teacher, you have less things to face or suffer from aside raising your students and impacting greater knowledge into them. But a farmer, you stand to face some challenges in your crops or farm products not producing well.
You can also face bad roads that prevent proper transportation as a farmer, which I stand to say a teacher has few challenges which make the profession preferable over farming.

Both the teaching and farming professions are good and needed, but for the purpose of education, we have offered winning debate points for those supporting teachers over farmers.
