To my Judges, accurate timekeepers and fellow debaters, below are my reasons why female children are more important than male children in a family.
1. More Domestic DutiesÂ
You all will agree with me that all female children take more responsibility in doing more domestic activities or duties than the male child. No home having female children, and won’t enjoy having domestic duties attended to.
Just as the male child goes out to make income or find a means of making the family happy through finance, the female child or children stay back and take care of the house, clean the house, wash things and also cook, which is one sweet benefit of having a girl child.
Every mother is happy to have a girl child or more female children because they know that workload is highly reduced for her as she has those that will cook, clean the house and other things, which at old age she might not have to worry about attending to such domestic work.
2. Bride Price (African Homes)
In most African homes, another cool benefit of having a female child is that you stand to earn or get income from her in the future, which comes from collecting the bride price during her marriage because it’s at the time most families gain majorly from their girl child.
The things brought to marry a lady, most times help build a family financially. Some families are financially buoyant because of their female child’s marriage, because if she gets to marry in a wealthy home, then her husband gets to attend to their family needs and helps them become more stable in finances.
3. Love, Care and AffectionÂ
Female children offer more love, care and affection to family than male children because they stay home more, clean, and cook for the home, and also attend to family duties more than male children because they are more attentive to the house.
Furthermore, every girl child is more loving to have in a home and they understand more than a male child. Not all male children stay at home, so they have less knowledge of what the father or mother might need, but female children stay around the parents, giving them care and attention always.
You will also agree with me that when a female child is married out, she also still shows love to the family, sends gifts and regularly checks up on home, always more than the male child who focuses on his own family once he is married.
4. Less Danger from Female ChildrenÂ
Unlike male children who always go out, and mingle with friends which can lead to certain dangers or bring danger home, the female children are different because they are always at home, caring for the house, which limits the rate of danger they put to themselves or the family.
I am not trying to say that male children cause danger, rather I am saying there are fewer chances of having outdoor misunderstandings or issues when you have female kids around you because they mostly stay home and don’t get themselves involved with issues in the outside world.
5. A Female Child Can Provide and ProtectÂ
There is a popular saying that every man can do it, and a woman can also do it better, so I guess as a man can provide for the family, females are also talented in various ways that they can also work, provide and care for the home.
I have seen many women who are breadwinners of their homes, and some men who end up not fulfilling duties are men, so this is another reason why female children are also important in a family.
